What is the inspiration for a bathroom makeover for an Esthetician and spa owner? A spa of course!
This project was a labor of love, turning our outdated bathroom into an inviting, modern space to welcome our guests!
The entire room was designed around this stunning vanity Wayfair gifted me. A few must haves: a white and grey top with a backsplash, muted gold hardware, a space at the bottom, modern drawers with soft closes and the perfect size for the space that would ALSO be able to hold my skincare essentials (not to much to ask for, right?)
Muted gold hardware was placed all throughout, from the beautiful faucet, towel bar, door lever, toilet paper holder and even the toilet lever (it really is in all the details!)
I opted for a bath bar for lighting and wanted a bold, striking mirror with lines that were not too curvy. It turns out it reminds me of the book shelf I selected for my office as well when I did my office makeover.
Next up was selecting the tiles. I have always been drawn to the classic herringbone style, so went with a luxe Carrera marble from Clayton Tile. It really made the vanity top pop, highlighting the light greys. To tie it all in, we painted the ceiling a light grey and also added a peel and stick silver and white dotted wall paper on the main wall when you enter the space.
To keep the bathroom bright and crisp, the rest of the walls, trim and baseboards were painted various shades of white.
Of course, details are the best part! From the Turkish hand towels, the automatic rechargeable soap dispensers, white beaded light switch covers to even the perfect Simple Human toilet brush, I have got you covered with my selections below to breeze through.
The new bathroom turned out exactly how I envisioned, reminding me of the many spas I have visited, including my own. I hope you are inspired with this renovation and find a few pieces below you love to add to your home.
Remember to budget wisely in advance and also add 20% more to cover all unexpected costs. We ended up having to use a tile installer and plumber, both unexpected but we were prepared.
And a big THANK YOU! to: Emily from Some Pretty Thing for helping me design this beautiful new space! Your generous time and vision was so appreciated and it turned out even lovelier than imagined.
Wayfair is always a dream to work with and I am loving my beautiful gifted vanity! My friends at Clayton Tile were a joy to work with, gifting me the perfect Carrera herringbone tile for the space. They are the sweetest family and have been a local small business favorite in my community for generations.
